Floral print silk dress and "Happy Singh"

There has been Punjabi food presentation "Happy Singh" at one of the restaurants these days. And yesterday it was MH's birthday so we decided to go there to give it a small celebration and to taste the food. I wore this silk dress for the occasion. I love its bright print and softness.

The place was decorated in Punjabi style and there were many old Hindi movies posters on the walls. Some food was cooked on the spot and one could watch the process.

The waiters were also dressed in Punjabi style

There was a big choice of food but what I liked most of all: 4 types of rotis (flat bread); rice desserts - one with saffron and another with rose essence, very unusual and interesting taste; and kulfi - an ice-cream that looked and tasted not like an ice-cream at all (peach-coloured "porridge" on the photo).

I bought the dress in 2008 in London. When I first saw it I wanted it straight away. But it was too expensive for me and I could not afford it. Luckily when the sale started it was still there and I took it with 50% discount. Love it since then.

That's it for today. Have a nice day!

  3. Olga I can imagine how happy you were when you got this beautiful dress for the half price. The pattern is gorgeous and in your place where the weather is so warm a silk dress is perfect. I love the feeling and the shimmer of silk.
Seems you had a great birthsday party at a wonderful place.
