Today is a bit different post. Different in the way that I am not showing off one of my outfits but just modelling for someone else. And it is not just an outfit but a wedding dress! And not a typical wedding dress but one with a twist. First, it is not white but ivory; second, ivory is combined with purple. And purple is not the colour that one would associate with bridal dresses.
The dress is from new on the market Ginger Cat label. They specialise in designing not-so-traditional wedding outfits for those who are bored with all-in-white image of a bride, who want to add some spice to their Big Day's look.
This particular dress is made from ivory Duchess satin with pure cotton underlining. The sleeves and the bow are from silk chiffon and for the back of the dress violet corded lace is used. There are also decorative lacy details here and there, some embellished with beads and sequins.
The silhouette is inspired by the 50s which I like. But what I like even more is the dress' off-the-shoulder neckline. Regal and playful at the same time, this neckline design is in my opinion the much more beautiful version of a strapless dress.
As you know I am married but I have never worn a bridal dress before. We didn't have a wedding, just a registration at the office and that was all (not that I ever regretted it). So, it was fun to play a bride for the first time in my life, and it doesn't matter it was just for a photo shoot. I enjoyed it.
Have a nice day!
