Poncho over a layered dress
Another casual look today. A poncho over a layered dress. I have shown this poncho before and that time I wore it over a dress too, that was a knee-length knitted black dress. Today's dress is different: it is cotton, long with two layers and in polka dots. And to tell you honestly I find this variant much more interesting. The poncho creates another layer and its print mixed with those polka dots makes a really attractive combination.

Large polka dot maxi dress
Another maxi dress of mine...I call it "large polka dot dress" but to think about it... aren't these "dots" look more like circles? Anyway, dots or circles, I have always loved this print and this dress. It looks like a statement piece on its own. I used to wear it just like that but this time decided to add a narrow belt. And was surprised of the effect. Such a small detail but gave the dress a fresh look.

Polka dottish
A pencil skirt...What can be more classy and elegant? And a polka dot pencil skirt? Here I am wearing one teamed with a polka dot top. All polka dottish today. The polka dots of the skirt are rather small and the print can be seen only from a close distance. And the bigger polka dots of the top contain a surprise. Here, have a closer look

Casual outfit in polka dot
On Saturday we went on picnic organised in honour of upcoming Teej - Nepalese Woman's day. It took place at the Gokarna Forest Resort, the former private Royal hunting grounds of the Kings of Nepal. This unique resort is situated within short distance of Kathmandu but it really feels like a world away: no noise, no pollution, and so much greenery. A nice place to relax from the stress of the city life.

Wide legged polka dot trousers
Yet another wide legged pants (my skirt-trousers you can see here). They are of light soft fabric and it makes them comfy and not bulky on the figure. I like as well their not boring print - numerous small polka dot. Mostly I wear the pants with this simple white shirt.

Giant polka dot maxi dress
Actually I am not a big fan of giant polka-dot pattern but this dress is an exception. The circles are of different sizes - some bigger, some smaller, some of them are combined together, others are on their own. All this creates an interesting effect.

Outfit post: playing with polka-dot
Inspired by Patti's example who challenged herself to wear same dress in different ways two times a week, I decided to do the same. I have a skirt that I wore just a few times. And always in a simple way, just pairing it with a white turtleneck top. So my challenge was to wear these two again but in different ways. And two times during the same week. Have to confess that I had to search my closet thoroughly to find something with what I could wear the skirt and the top making them look differently. Here is the result. This is how I went for work.
A black vest, a polka-dot scarf, classic black shoes and an aquamarine pendant.
