Harrods Christmas Express windows

What I like about visiting London at this time of the year is the festive Christmas atmosphere that you can feel everywhere: Christmas songs, Christmas gifts sections, Christmas tree decorations and of course, Christmas shop-windows. Have a look at these amazingly beautiful Christmas windows at Harrods. They were inspired by the iconic British steam train, and the main window starts off with a train "The Harrods Express" that emanates the "choo choo" sound and smoke.

From summer to autumn and Oxford street's Christmas windows

Hello from London! After "late summer" weather of Nepal I found myself in "middle autumn" of Britain. Came here on Thursday for some business and to see my daughters. Straight away I had to forget about dresses and wear so many other things instead: a sweater, tights, boots, a coat and even something for my head. This vintage woolen skirt in turquoise I bought in Kathmandu just a few days before my leaving. Thought it would be the right thing to wear in London.

Window-shopping at the Delhi airport and new sunflowers earrings

I've been enjoying the sunny weather in Belarus for two days now. But today's post will be about window-shopping in the Delhi International Airport. This airport was opened just a couple of years ago and it is big, really beautiful, modern and has many shops, restaurants and cafes. When you have to wait for your flight for 10 hours, at least you can spent a couple of them browsing through the cosmetics, books, teas, clothes, souvenirs and jewelry that the airport's shops offer.

Window-shopping: Kathmandu, Durbar Marg

Durbar Marg is the most prestigious, clean and modern looking street in Kathmandu. Its name literally means "King's Way", I suppose because the palace of the former king of Nepal is situated here and the king himself used to go by this road from time to time. The king doesn't live here any more and the palace has been a museum for some time now.

Window-shopping: Kathmandu, City Centre

When I entered the hall of the City Centre yesterday the first thing I saw was the blue colour. It was everywhere: numerous blue balloons, blue fabric and blue illumination. As it turned out the mall was decorated for the Valentine's day. One would expect rather everything in red on such occasion but I suppose the decorators decided to be different.

In most of the shops a big sale is on with discounts 30-50% on winter clothes. A few shops are done with the sale and have put new summer collections in the windows.

I came there in search of shoes but didn't find anything to my taste and bought a few small things instead:

two head bands, one with cats on it, another in polka dots; two bottles of nail polish; and a cat pendant to add in my collection (see my other cat jewelry here)

And that is what I got as a Valentine's gift...So very Valentiny...hearts-hearts-hearts...A set of a necklace, earrings, and a bracelet in silver.

Window-shopping: Kathmandu, Thamel

It's getting colder and warm winter clothes have appeared on display instead of summer t-shirts, skirts and dresses. There are many hand-knitted things here of different designs and colours, pashmina, hand-embroidered jackets.
