Poncho style cardigan

The simplest and most common way to style a poncho cardigan is by wearing it over pants. But today I wanted to look more feminine and so I chose to combine it with a knitted dress instead. The cardigan's print reminds me of winter: besides the obvious deer and snowflakes, the horizontal patterns to me look like those that appear on windows after a frosty night.

Can't say it is the most comfortable thing to wear on a windy day, the cardigan then becomes a rather decorative item then actually warming. Luckily, windy days are really rare in Kathmandu.

The earrings remind me of snowflakes too so I added them to the look. They are quite a statement thing, aren't they? In spite of their largeness the earrings are very light.

Poncho style cardigan, earrings, boots - local market, knitted dress - Wallis, tights - bought in Belarus

Have a nice day!

  3. Wow!!! Love your elegant wintery look!!!! Earrings are amazing, they are a fantastic statement accessory to complete your wintery frosty snowflake theme!!! You have combined your poncho cardigan really lovely with that dress. Tights are great as well, especially the pattern is also somewhat like frost on the windows :) great look! I never know how to wear those type of poncho cardigans although I love patterns on them!

  6. You know I noticed the earrings right away! They are really such a nice statement ones and they match the winter theme of this look quite nicely. Opting for something other than pants to wear with this poncho was a great idea. You look very lady like...and absolutely beautiful!
