Pleated cat skirt

white satin pleated cat skirt with white fur jacket

Hello stylish ladies! Those of you who have been reading my blog for a while know that I am a cat woman: I love cats and have always had them around me. At the moment I have three cats living in my house. Besides, I like collecting cat-themed things including clothes. My friends are well aware of this weakness of mine and whenever they see something cat theme interesting they buy it for me. And this skirt I'm showing today is just that case: it was gifted to me. No need to say that I was amazed by it. Prints of different types of cats look really beautiful on the white satin surface of the skirt. I wore it for the first time on Valentine's day but guess what...my husband didn't notice cats at all until I pointed it to him...men...

Sweater over pencil dress

slate grey fluffy sweater over pencil dress

Hello stylish ladies! From all the colors that exist my less favorite perhaps is grey. Especially for clothes. Firstly, the color seems rather boring to me, secondly, I think it doesn't go well with my complexion. But look at me today - wearing grey all over! This is a more interesting shade of grey though, so-called slate grey, that has slight azure tinge in it.
In spite of me not liking grey I couldn't resist this sweater: the knitting pattern and the fluff make it pretty enough on their own but besides that, the sweater goes nicely sparkly under the light. Real beauty!

Outfit in shades of purple

faux fur coat and corduroy skirt outfit

Hello stylish ladies! What is your favorite color? I have to confess that my love is the color of purple, in all its numerous shades. And my today's look, except for the bag and shoes, represents this love. To tell you the truth, it's not that often that I manage to find interesting pieces of clothing in my favorite colors. This lavender faux fur coat and the lilac corduroy skirt happen to be my recent purchases. To find a fur coat in such a color - it was just rare luck! And a skirt in lilac, you don't see it around that much, too. So, finding these two lovely pieces really made me happy. And I've been just waiting for suitable weather to be able to wear these newly bought things. And so, the day has come!

African jungles inspired outfit

African print skirt, light green woolen sweater, suede boots

Hello stylish ladies! My today's outfit is inspired by Photowall, a Swedish wall decor company that makes top-quality products to help you create a room of your dream. There you will find an unimaginable choice of designer wallpapers , wall murals, canvas prints, and posters. When I was contacted by the company and suggested to choose any product I wish, it turned out to be not an easy task for me because of the variety of designs they have to offer. I knew that I wanted a canvas print for my dining room and I browsed through hundreds of images: animals, landscapes, fantasy, movie posters, maps, arts, foods...I can't even remember all the themes they have. In the end, I decided on this Gorilla print. The image somehow appealed to me, I imagined this ape peeping through the greenery straight into our dining room. I liked his clever and slightly sad eyes. Besides, the print would match the room's walls color and the jungles behind the room's windows.

Cutwork felt maxi skirt

cut work felt maxi skirt

Hello stylish ladies! In today's outfit I'm featuring my new cutwork maxi skirt. This is definitely a skirt for colder days because it consists of two layers, where the first outer layer is made of fine felt with 50% wool in its composition. The second, inner layer of the skirt that can be seen through the cutwork is in mulberry color and that's why I chose to pair the skirt with a magenta-colored sweater. The cut of the skirt is very elegant and feminine and these are just the two qualities that I really appreciate.

Winter casual: knit culottes and leather jacket

casual outfit culottes and leather jacket in navy blue

Hello, stylish ladies! Sharing with you today yet another winter casual look featuring culottes. I love wearing culottes on hot summer days because their loose design and light fabric help to bear high temperatures. But I haven't worn any culottes in winter until now. Well, everything happens for the first time one day. While shopping in one of these days I spotted a different type of culottes meant specially for colder days. They were made from thicker cotton and polyester knit fabric and had a wide elasticated waistband. I tried them on and they fitted and looked nice. They were navy blue in color and I thought they would perfectly match my leather jacket in the same color. So, I bought them.

Winter festive: velvet and metal thread

festive outfit embellished velvet jacket with maxi skirt

So, the major winter festivals - Christmas and New Year - are over. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. And today I want to share with you my festive outfits. A bit late, maybe, but it's better late than never.
We had a Christmas eve dinner at a rather posh place, so I had to look glamorous and elegant and festive. So, I thought that my embellished velvet jacket would be quite the right choice for such an occasion. It looks beautiful and rich and where else I could possibly wear it if not to a posh restaurant.

Winter casual: sweater and skirt outfits

mustard yellow sweater with tulle skirt outfit

Hello stylish ladies! Today I want to show you two casual winter outfits featuring one sweater and two different skirts. Pairing a sweater with a skirt instead of jeans or trousers looks way more interesting and feminine in my opinion.
The sweater in these outfits is of medium length what makes it easier to style than, say, long or short ones. The main reason I bought this sweater was its color, mustard yellow. I really love this color and it's not that you see a sweater in such color that often. Besides the color I liked the texture of the sweater, it's kind of like waffles and looks very interesting.

Tropical print maxi dress

Tropical open shoulder maxi dress

It's summer finally! And it means that I can wear my new tropical maxi dress! Such colourful tropical print is perfect for wearing at some sea resort during a vacation but why to wait for a vacation, why to wait for a trip to the seaside? Wear it here and now! All you need is just warm enough weather. It is enough that the dress has a vacation vibe, it reminds me of beaches and sea breeze and bright tropical sceneries.

Sequined white dress

sequined white reception dress

There is no much styling in this look but the dress is too beautiful not to show it off. It's from Ted Baker and it was gifted to me. I wish it was just a size smaller, would have fitted better then but even on the looser side it still looks quite good on me. The dress has the 20th vibe and is embellished with sequins all over which create beautiful sparkling effect with every move you do, especially under the light of artificial evening illumination. Of course, such a dress requires a special occasion and I wore it for a recent wedding reception (as the wedding was Indian, the white colour of the dress was quite acceptable).

Stripy open shoulder summer dress

loose stripy summer dress with open shoulders

When it's hot outside I prefer to wear dresses instead of pants, and preferably loose dresses for that matter (in spite of them making me look bigger then I am). And this stripy dress from Indian brand Fusion Beats works perfectly for sunny summer days. Besides being of loose silhouette it has open shoulders and nice loose sleeves. The broken line of the hem adds additional interest to the design of the dress. My only complain is fabric. It's not cotton or linen which I would prefer but 100% polyester.

Vintage vibe modern look gingham dress

black and white gingham check dress

I have never been a big fan of checks, especially of gingham checks. Throughout my whole life I remember owning only one gingham dress, and it was in my 20s. It was a bright blue-purple checks dress and I really loved it. Also I remember having a black-and-white checks shirt and... that's it. Not much. But recently I have come upon a gingham dress that totally fall in love with literally from the first sight. And this is the dress I'm showing here today. Look how happy this dress's making me:)

Cat blouse for a cat woman

cats and stripes long sleeved blouse worn in smart style

I have always loved cats...since my childhood. And I not only love cats, I am sort of obsessed with them if to be honest. I have a collection of cat figurines, I have cat toys, I have cat mugs, I have cat bed sheets and towels...And of course, I have cat print things in my wardrobe. And it is not just one or two items: I've got several t-shirts, a dress, a skirt, sweaters, scarfs and a few blouses. And today I'm wearing yet another new cat print blouse from Zara. What I like about this particular print is that it's not just cats but stripes as well. The blouse is 100% polyester and have a silky feeling, it has buttons on the back and a sash-like belt.

Pleated silk maxi skirt semi-casual way

Silk pleated skirt worn with a shirt

Perhaps some of you remember this skirt of mine. It is 100% silk and that was the main reason I bought this skirt. I am kind of a sucker for natural fabrics. However, I am not a big fan of pleats: first, they tend to make you look bigger in a certain part of your body; second, those pleats make it hard finding a good matching top for the skirt. So many things that I had tried with this skirt looked either weird, or silly, or awkward etc. Anyway, it IS possible to find a matching piece.

New necklaces

Those who have been following my blog definitely know about my weakness for jewelry. Pieces in my collection are not really expensive, what attracts me is an interesting design or colours combination, stones or handcraft work. And today I want to show you new additions to my collection, necklaces only. And the first one is a glass necklace from Monsoon. This one was gifted to me by my daughter who obviously knows my taste well enough to chose a piece that I would love. And I do love it!

Lurex sweater and glass beads accessories

Lurex navy blue sweater worn with vintage skirt and glass beads accessories

Showing off today my new French Connection lurex sweater. I bought it with 30% off so the price turned out quite affordable. The first thing that caught my attention was the sweater's knitting ornamentation. I also liked the colour and a little bit of metallic thread going through and making it more lovely.

Chinese print dress

Chinese print summer dress

It's October but the weather here is still nice and summery and let you wear light sleeveless dresses. Like the one in this post. I got it from my daughter who found it in a charity shop in London. It was a bit too big for her but has a perfect fit for me.

Embroidered sleeves blouse

Embroidered sleeves blouse with printed skirt

In my previous post I wore super wide pants and today the super wide sleeves are the main attraction of my look. Besides being that wide they are decorated with super beautiful embroidery. No doubt, that's these sleeves that make this blouse stand out.

26.9.17

Super wide printed pants

Super wide trousers with crop top

These new trousers of mine are super super wide in legs. I don't know whether they fit into palazzo pants category... usually those have more straight cut along the length while these one have quite a significant width difference between upper and bottom parts. You can easily take these pants for a skirt.

Vintage linen dress

Vintage early 70s linen dress with embroidery

Another linen dress today. This one is an authentic vintage item, the dress used to be my mom's and she wore it in the early 1970s. Simple fabric, simple silhouette, pale blue colour...this simplicity makes the floral embroidery at the top part of the dress really stand out.
