Casual maxi skirt

Casual look with floral skirt and cardigan

It's getting warmer and warmer here, no need for a coat or a jacket anymore, at least during day time. A very casual look today but brightened up with a lovely print of the skirt. The skirt was not bought anywhere but made from an old sari. Actually it was not old but rather useless: it turned out that the fabric was not that good for draping. And so, the sari ended up as a skirt...

Floral print skirt and blue accessories

Floral print skirt with yellow top and blue accessories

Another summer outfit in the middle of Autumn. Still warm here but mornings and evenings are getting colder and soon it will not be possible to go sleeveless. But for now I can and I do. It was impossible not to fall in love with this skirt. I am such a sucker for floral prints especially for such beautiful as this one.

Floral overdress

Floral overdress worn with mini dress

Hello! I am back in Nepal but there will be a few posts with outfits that I wore in Belarus. Took photos but had no time and, if to be honest, no much wish to post from there. I feel like doing other things while on holidays rather then be busy with blogging. Today I'm showing a floral overdress that I wore with a black mini dress. The first thing that attracted me in this overdress was floral print and the second, those gorgeous sleeves.

Floral summer coat

Floral print summer coat

As we all know summers in Europe are quite unpredictable and some days can be quite chilly and one has to wear a sweater or a jacket on such days. But look what a lovely alternative to those sweaters and jackets I found in Belarus - a summer coat. It is very light but will keep you warm when temperature outside drops to 17- 19C and it looks so lovely, like a dress. I especially like its delicate floral print.

Floral print summer dress

Hello everybody! I hope you've been enjoying summer. No luck with weather during my London visit but now I am in Belarus and situation is much better here. So, finally I can wear all the summer stuff that I took with me from Nepal. And of course, there are a few new purchases too. Like this lovely floral dress. I fall in love with this print the moment I saw it. Besides, when I tried the dress on it fitted perfectly.

Floral maxi skirt for a dinner out

Floral maxi skirt worn with a white top

I bought this satin maxi skirt some time ago but had not had a chance to take it for an outing until yesterday. There are usually not many events during monsoon here, don't know why, but it is always like this during the rainy season - a kind of lull. So when I was invited for a semi formal dinner the other day I instantly remembered about this skirt and thought that its time had come finally.

Little floral dress

Floral print dress

This little dress is among my summer favourites. The floral print just screams "summer!", the loose silhouette and just-above-the knees length prevent fabric sticking to the body and let the light breeze freely ventilate me through. For monsoon with its still high temperatures, no wind and great humidity such a dress is a must-wear.

Floral with a bit of stripes

Floral top worn with floral skirt

Monsoon has arrived and brought some coolness and freshness with it. Though it brings some discomfort as well but at least now you don't sweat constantly and don't have to water flowers in your garden two times a day, monsoon does it for you! If you have never experienced living through the monsoon months you don't really know what it is. I will give you some clues. Monsoon, it is when it can literally pour without stop for several days in a row; it is when the air becomes so thick with humidity that it feels like you can cut it through; it is when all types of creatures - spiders, ants, lizards and sometimes even snakes - consider your house a safe place for themselves to live in till rains are over; it is when you need to air your closet a couple of times a week otherwise all your clothes will get smelly and covered with white spots of mold; it is when you wake up in the morning lying on the wet sheets because they have absorbed moisture from too humid air. That is monsoon...

Floral midi skirt and lace top

Floral midi skirt and lacy top

Many people celebrated Easter last Sunday. But in my native Belarus (as well as in some other countries of Orthodox Christianity) Easter is celebrated tomorrow (Sunday). I am going to the Russian culture centre for some socializing to mark the day. And that's what I am planning to wear for the event, I took the photos in advance as tomorrow I will really have no time for this. Both things, the lacy top and the floral skirt, are new, I will be wearing them for the first time. I love the shape of the skirt, actually it is the first skirt of such shape in my wardrobe.

Mixed floral patterns dress

On Thursday it was the Day of Russia and we were invited to the Russian embassy for celebration. I chose this dress to wear for the occasion. It combines two different floral prints. The small turquoise flowers print is used only at the front panels of the dress; the rest of the dress is made of the black-with-large-flowers print. Besides there is embroidery and some sequins decoration at the chest area.

A blue watercolour dress

I call this dress "my real French dress". Not only because it was bought in Paris and is by a French designer. But also because on its tag it is written not "made in Sri Lanka" or "made in Bangladesh" but really "made in France". It was from the collection called "Antigua" and no doubt the dress's print was inspired by the island's blue skies and turquoise sea.

Blue maxi dress

When it is hot I like to wear this maxi dress. It is flowing, it is beautiful and it is blue, which reminds me of water - sea or river - and in the heat it is nice to look at something like this. At least imaginary you feel cooler.

Floral print black dress and enameled jewelry

This weekend was quite eventful: I visited the International Fair Trade, the Jewelry Show, attended the Woman's day celebrations and one wedding party. This floral print black dress I wore to the Italian restaurant where the Woman's day was celebrated. The dress is from Wallis and I bought it two years ago. Still it is one of my favourites. I like the dress' simple cut, its bright floral print and of course the sleeves. They are partly made of chiffon and the chiffon's part is very wide and flowing and has slits.

Floral print outfits

Floral print is one of my favourite for sunny summer days. You've already seen my new little flowery dress and here are two more floral pieces. This blouse from Monsoon I wear with wide-legged black pants. I like its shirt-type style and colour palette.

Little floral print dress and my hometown's birthday

I was born in a small town that yesterday celebrated its 55th birthday. Festivities were organised on this occasion and I invite you to have a walk along the streets of the young town. For the event I wore this little flowery dress that I bought during my 10-hours wait in Moscow. Actually I was shocked with the prices there, they were even higher than in London, and managed to find just this cute dress that was of good quality (50% polyester and 50% silk) and at affordable price. The dress is of a Russian brand and that is why it was cheaper.

Floral print silk dress and "Happy Singh"

There has been Punjabi food presentation "Happy Singh" at one of the restaurants these days. And yesterday it was MH's birthday so we decided to go there to give it a small celebration and to taste the food. I wore this silk dress for the occasion. I love its bright print and softness.
