Indian motifs jeans

Those who know my love for everything Indian will understand why I couldn't resist buying these jeans. They are from Desigual and their price was a bit higher than I usually am ready to pay for jeans. Anyway, the Indian style bright and colourful details plus perfect fit made me change my mind. And I have to say that I simply love these jeans...Here I am wearing them with simple white top from Indian Biba accessorized with Indian inspired bracelets and a necklace from Monsoon. Perfect match!

Strolling along the ancient streets

Today is exactly one year since the big earthquake here in Nepal...We still experience aftershocks now and then, there are still not demolished buildings here and there, there are still thousands of people living in tents. The death toll from the quake has reached 9053 and 255 persons are still considered missing, 111 of them foreigners from 25 countries.
On Saturday we decided to visit Bhaktapur, one of the towns of the Kathmandu valley that was damaged the most. This ancient town has always been famous for its unique architecture, temples, stculptures and works of wood carving. It was nice to see that though wounded, the town is still alive and  hasn't lost its charm and beauty.

Bright casual: orange and blue

After all the glamour of my Valentine's look in the previous post, today comes a very simple and casual look: skinnies, jumper and flats. This combination is like a uniform for so many women, which is quite understandable - it is easy and comfy. And often so boring...But not necessarily. The orange and blue colour combination of my today's look makes it much more interesting and fun.

Long fringed vest styled two ways

This long fringed vest is one of my recent "trendy" purchases and I bought it having in mind particularly this earthy brown dress. I have owned the dress for some time and started to get a little bored to wear it on its own. What I wanted was a new piece of clothing that could be added to it to create a different look. And when I saw the vest I knew that was it. It is made of soft velvety fabric that looks and feels like suede. I like the ornamental detail in a contrasting colour too.

Outfit in yellow and blue

It's been some time since I wore these navy blue jeans. They used to be one of my favourite. I liked darkness of the colour, slightly flared bottom and perfect fit. But you know how it is - you are fond of a piece, wear it often and then you become really tired and bored of it. And you bury it in the farthest corner of your closet and forget all about it. Then one day you accidentally dig it out. And all of a sudden you are in love with the piece again and impatient to put it on and style it in a new interesting way.

A walk in the forest and red-hot skinnies

As we had to cancel our weekend trip to jungles of Chitwan because of hot weather there we decided not to stay at home on Saturday but to visit another place and we went to Hattiban. It is a hill just 15 km from the Kathmandu. The top of the hill is covered with a forest which reminded me so very much of the forests in Belarus: though not same but very similar- looking trees and same smell of needles in the air. The name of the place literally means "elephant forest" and it is said that in the former times there were many elephants living there. However there is another version that the shape of the hill itself resembles an elephant.
