Sweater over pencil dress

Hello stylish ladies! From all the colors that exist my less favorite perhaps is grey. Especially for clothes. Firstly, the color seems rather boring to me, secondly, I think it doesn't go well with my complexion. But look at me today - wearing grey all over! This is a more interesting shade of grey though, so-called slate grey, that has slight azure tinge in it.
In spite of me not liking grey I couldn't resist this sweater: the knitting pattern and the fluff make it pretty enough on their own but besides that, the sweater goes nicely sparkly under the light. Real beauty!

African jungles inspired outfit

Hello stylish ladies! My today's outfit is inspired by Photowall, a Swedish wall decor company that makes top-quality products to help you create a room of your dream. There you will find an unimaginable choice of designer wallpapers , wall murals, canvas prints, and posters. When I was contacted by the company and suggested to choose any product I wish, it turned out to be not an easy task for me because of the variety of designs they have to offer. I knew that I wanted a canvas print for my dining room and I browsed through hundreds of images: animals, landscapes, fantasy, movie posters, maps, arts, foods...I can't even remember all the themes they have. In the end, I decided on this Gorilla print. The image somehow appealed to me, I imagined this ape peeping through the greenery straight into our dining room. I liked his clever and slightly sad eyes. Besides, the print would match the room's walls color and the jungles behind the room's windows.

Cutwork felt maxi skirt

Hello stylish ladies! In today's outfit I'm featuring my new cutwork maxi skirt. This is definitely a skirt for colder days because it consists of two layers, where the first outer layer is made of fine felt with 50% wool in its composition. The second, inner layer of the skirt that can be seen through the cutwork is in mulberry color and that's why I chose to pair the skirt with a magenta-colored sweater. The cut of the skirt is very elegant and feminine and these are just the two qualities that I really appreciate.

Winter casual: sweater and skirt outfits

Hello stylish ladies! Today I want to show you two casual winter outfits featuring one sweater and two different skirts. Pairing a sweater with a skirt instead of jeans or trousers looks way more interesting and feminine in my opinion.
The sweater in these outfits is of medium length what makes it easier to style than, say, long or short ones. The main reason I bought this sweater was its color, mustard yellow. I really love this color and it's not that you see a sweater in such color that often. Besides the color I liked the texture of the sweater, it's kind of like waffles and looks very interesting.

Lurex sweater and glass beads accessories

Showing off today my new French Connection lurex sweater. I bought it with 30% off so the price turned out quite affordable. The first thing that caught my attention was the sweater's knitting ornamentation. I also liked the colour and a little bit of metallic thread going through and making it more lovely.

Fringed poncho

What I'm wearing today is yet another poncho. Can't say that I am such a big fan of poncho style but somehow I ended up having several in my wardrobe. Couldn't resist a big cat's face on this particular one. It is made of thin acrylic and is good for slightly cool weather. Also there is a golden metallic thread incorporated into the fabric so it glitters slightly under the sun.

Fur trimmed vest

My first kind of wintery look this season, thanks to the fur trimmed vest from Monsoon. I bought it in summer during major sale and so, instead of the original price of 80 something pounds I got it for 18£ only. Just couldn't leave this beauty to remain hanging there on the rails among other on-sale stuff.

Lilac and yellow for spring

Spring is in the air! No need for tights any more, well, maybe in the evenings only. I am in a springy mood too and that's why I am wearing these two colourы together today. Lilac and yellow both associate with spring for me: yellow, obviously, for the sun and lilac for the flowers of Syringa vulgaris, or Lilac. There is no Lilacs here in Nepal and I miss their gentle beauty and intoxicating fragrance.

Green and yellow

Christmas is just around the corner but I don't have any "special edition" Christmasy post on the way. The tree and the house are decorated and my Christmas Eve outfit is ready but I just not in the mood to make all these be photographed. It is so cold in the house at the moment (just 10C degrees) that it has a lazying effect on me. These days it is really much warmer outside (15C) then inside the house (at least it is during day time). I have to put more layers of clothes while I am at home then when I go out. Ha-ha, the reality of life in Nepal.

One sweater, two occasions

This emerald-green sweater is one of my latest purchases. It is quite simple and it would seem like there is nothing special about it but surprisingly I've got fond of this sweater and been wearing it quite often recently. Today I will show you two different looks featuring the sweater. One was for a short trip to the hills and another for an eating out in the evening.

Wearing red in winter

I noticed that in winter I wear red quite often. Much more often than in summer. I wonder why...Does it have some warming up effect on me? Or perhaps it just cheers me up more than any other colour. Though why would I need cheering up? Winter here is not as gloomy and grey as in Europe, on the contrary, the days are full of sun light and many trees stay green. Oh well, whatever the reason...as in my previous post, today again you can see me wearing red.

Aran style sweater

January is the coldest month of the year here in Kathmandu. But I am glad "winter" has finally arrived because firstly, the chilly period is so short here that there is no time for you to get really tired of it, you actually enjoy it; and secondly, that's the time I can show off my coats and woolen sweaters at last. This 100% lamb-wool textured knitted sweater in natural white I bought 7-8 years ago. It is one of those timeless things that one must have in one's wardrobe, it never goes out of fashion, you can wear it as long as it lasts.

Green pashmina sweater

This green pashmina sweater I bought at the recent Christmas bazaar (25% off on the occasion!). Turns out this is my first pashmina sweater - I've had a couple of shawls and scarfs but not a single sweater. This one attracted me with a nice shade of green and with an interesting Chinese motif pattern.

Mixing prints: horizontal with tartan

I bought this Benetton sweater last year during sale, it costed me 40% less of the original price. It is light and warm,  thanks to its complex composition: lana wool, mohair, angora, silk and lurex. You can't say that the sweater is exactly "stripy" but those horizontal ornaments do create that kind of effect.

Casual outfit, bright look

When I lived in Belarus I liked winter for sunny frosty snowy days. For possibility to skate, ski and sled. What I like winter for now is that I can wear cozy knitted sweaters. Just like this one. I love its pattern and bright jolly colour. Actually the colour is the hero of this simple casual outfit.

The animal print scarf adds some more spice to the look.

A white cat black sweater

Again I am wearing "a cat on my chest", and again I am in black-and-white, except for the hint of red on the kitten's neck and the sweater's sleeves. The sweater was bought in London during my recent stay there. There were plenty of cute sweaters on sale, with deer, snowmen, Santa, Christmas trees, puppies and whatever else on them. But I felt it was all not quite what I wanted. And then finally, I found this black sweater with a white kitty on it that had won my sympathy instantly.

Openwork sweater and black maxi

Though the Woman's day was on Friday the official celebration at the Russian centre of culture took place on Saturday. There are many Russian and Russian speaking women and men here in Nepal and it is always fun to gather together and socialize. I wore the openwork sweater in red (Madame) with black maxi skirt. When I first saw this sweater I just fall in love with its pattern but was not sure how the design would look on me. It turned out to look very interesting.
