Wearing palazzo pants

Though monsoon has started here the weather is still pretty hot - around 30, plus the rains have brought humidity. Yet I see many girls here wear skinny jeans. I just wonder how they can bear it. The only trousers that I can bear in this weather are the palazzo pants. They are cool and comfortable to wear on hot summer days. No wonder I have several of them in my wardrobe. Here are three different looks with three different palazzo pants.

Printed palazzo pants - bought in Belarus, linen top - Penny Lane, hat - local

A la 70s look. Printed palazzo pants, a white linen top and a hat. The pants are 100% viscose, They are light and flowing. The top is 100% linen and is decorated with embroidery and pleats.

And here is another look, sporty. The polka dot palazzo pants I paired with a t-shirt.

Polka dot palazzo pants - Next, t-shirt - Principles by Ben de Lisi

And finally the third look, ethnic. These palazzo pants are of pure cotton, so they are not that flowing but still look good and the fabric makes them so cool to wear during really hot days. I like the richness of the pants' colour (though MH said that they are just "too much blue") and the embroidery in red.

Cotton palazzo pants - Biba, ethnic top - Biba, wedges - Delamode

I know that some people  just hate this type of trousers. How about you, do you love them or hate them?

  1. This makes me want to go out and get a pair of palazzo pants! Love all 3 of these looks but my favorite is #2 with the tee!

  3. You look wonderfully comfy and chic in all of these outfits, Olga! The white blouse is beautiful! I agree - wide legged pants are the best for hot days. I made palazzo pants with a matching free flowing top years ago for my Black Sea vacation. That outfit was savior in hot days. I don't think I wore palazzo pants since then though. Summers are very mild here. But I still like the look, so I just need to find the right ones for me. :)

  6. Every single look is perfection! Really love the details on the linen shirt. I think you have styled them perfectly, with a more form fitting, but not tight shirt, to complement the freer shaped bottoms. Our summers get up to 40, and then I can't stand anything on my legs! But these are great for cooler evenings or spring and autumn.

  7. Love your outfits. My favorite is the one with the white T-Shirt-- you look so elegant! I guess I could wear this type of pants. I don't mind :) Have a wonderful weekend! It's hot in Houston as well, +33 Celsius and rain showers + humidity.

  8. Well, I love palazzos, they are the only style of trousers I ever wear! I like all three outfits, each has a different vibe; the 70s-style print pants with the linen tunic is super-stylish, the t-shirt and navy polka dots looks cool and casual, and I love the bold colours and embroidered detail of the ethnic version. Gorgeous, Olga! xxxx

  11. Hi Olga!
All the looks are great and very 70's indeed. You look just like the model on the cover of the sewing patterns from that era, especially with the hat. So cute!

  13. Sigh.. those were the day when I was skinny and rocking the palazzo pants.. now, I will not dare! You instead look chic and they obviously suit you and your svelte body well!

  15. Love them ... on you! Pretty on your very slim form, well styled as always, and there's a world-style vibe that works spectacularly well on you personally and contextually!
I keep looking for some that will work for me, but am having a bit of a time. Can't find any here that don't have a large print. Your choices inspire!
