I am back in Nepal, returned just two days ago. But on these photos I am still in Belarus. The last week of September the weather turned very cold there but I was glad nevertheless. Because I could finally wear this Monsoon coat I took with me. It is quite light, made of velvety fabric which is so soft and pleasant to touch.
The a la 20s hat in matching colour I found there in Belarus. After living in Nepal I became quite sensitive to cold winds of my native country and when most of people still can go bareheaded I need to cover mine. So this hat was a lucky and well-timed find.
The vintage brooch has an interesting story. It was gifted to me by my first "boyfriend". We both were 7 years old, lived in the neighborhood and visited same kindergarten. As it turned out later the boy sneakily took the brooch from his mother's jewelry box and brought it to me. When the woman found out where her brooch disappeared she just let me have it after all. Sweet memories!

Hope you're having great time!
What a wonderful color on you! I also need to wrap up to keep warm--the positive side is you will look uniquely dashing in your lovely hat. That brooch is so pretty. I'm surprised your "boyfriend's" mother let you keep it, but how nice that you still do.
ReplyDeleteGreat beautiful color! The hat is just perfect for the coat! Love your little story about the brooch! Glad that your trip back to Nepal was safe! Have a wonderful weekend.
