Outfit in shades of purple
Hello stylish ladies! What is your favorite color? I have to confess that my love is the color of purple, in all its numerous shades. And my today's look, except for the bag and shoes, represents this love. To tell you the truth, it's not that often that I manage to find interesting pieces of clothing in my favorite colors. This lavender faux fur coat and the lilac corduroy skirt happen to be my recent purchases. To find a fur coat in such a color - it was just rare luck! And a skirt in lilac, you don't see it around that much, too. So, finding these two lovely pieces really made me happy. And I've been just waiting for suitable weather to be able to wear these newly bought things. And so, the day has come!

Patterned coat
Winters are very short in Kathmandu, one needs wearing a coat or a jacket for no longer then one month. So, one doesn't need to have a variety of coats and jackets as there will be no time enough to wear them all. And definitely I didn't need yet another coat into my wardrobe. And I didn't plan to buy any. But...how could I leave this one? The pattern, the colour...and those pockets...I couldn't resist.

Folk style in winter
On the 1 of every month Natalia from the In The Writer's Closet blog, along with her co-hosts Tina and Beate, feature a link up called Modish Matrons (Natalia gives an interesting explanation where the name of the link up came from). Each month one of the three ladies presents a theme that inspires her. The January's theme is Russian Winter Fairy Tale. And here is my interpretation of the theme.

Floral summer coat
As we all know summers in Europe are quite unpredictable and some days can be quite chilly and one has to wear a sweater or a jacket on such days. But look what a lovely alternative to those sweaters and jackets I found in Belarus - a summer coat. It is very light but will keep you warm when temperature outside drops to 17- 19C and it looks so lovely, like a dress. I especially like its delicate floral print.

Wearing red in winter
I noticed that in winter I wear red quite often. Much more often than in summer. I wonder why...Does it have some warming up effect on me? Or perhaps it just cheers me up more than any other colour. Though why would I need cheering up? Winter here is not as gloomy and grey as in Europe, on the contrary, the days are full of sun light and many trees stay green. Oh well, whatever the reason...as in my previous post, today again you can see me wearing red.

Maroon coat and a la 20s hat
I am back in Nepal, returned just two days ago. But on these photos I am still in Belarus. The last week of September the weather turned very cold there but I was glad nevertheless. Because I could finally wear this Monsoon coat I took with me. It is quite light, made of velvety fabric which is so soft and pleasant to touch.
