Inspired by
Patti's example who challenged herself to wear same dress in different ways two times a week, I decided to do the same. I have a skirt that I wore just a few times. And always in a simple way, just pairing it with a white turtleneck top. So my challenge was to wear these two again but in different ways. And two times during the same week. Have to confess that I had to search my closet thoroughly to find something with what I could wear the skirt and the top making them look differently. Here is the result. This is how I went for work.
A black vest, a polka-dot scarf, classic black shoes and an aquamarine pendant.
This is how I went shopping on Saturday. Wore a red tank-top over the turtleneck (never done this before) plus an openwork bolero, red polka-dot headband, red-and-white beads necklace and red sandals.
So, what do you think, did I manage to look differently? Which variant do you like better?
Finally I managed to find a lipstick in the shade of red that I wanted: without any hints of pink or purple, just pure red. It is from Maybelline, the shade's name is Fatal Red (you can see it on these photos)
Outfits details: skirt - Wallis
turtleneck top - Boleno
bolero, tank-top - Bossini
vest - no brand, bought at City Centre
shoes, sandals - bought at Bentley
I like the red combination more ... Red is my colour, and it looks good on you. Great blog! Thanks for your comment :) Let me know if you want to follow each other.

Hi Olga,
ReplyDeleteI'm just catching up on your posts :)
This is a great idea and I think you've managed to style the skirt & top combo into two very different outfits.
The first one is definitely more formal & as such a perfect work outfit but you've managed to keep it fun by adding that fabulous scarf to it.
The second outfit is more casual but in no way less stylish, I love how the red gives the polka dot pattern a lift and all of a sudden the skirt looks a whole lot more flirty and fab.
Both the outfits are great but my favourite is definitely the second...xXx
You and your blog are beautiful. Stopping by and admiring your outfits.
ReplyDeleteBoth are terrific, but the red really pops. Love the red lipstick too! Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! You did a great job with both looks!
ReplyDeleteI always like to see how a piece of cloth can be styled differently. You did a very good job with the skirt. I can not say which option I like best. You look fabulous in both.
ReplyDeleteBoth combinations work beautifully. I have a red/white polka dot skirt that I think I've worn once and have a difficult time coming up with styling options for it. Your post has been helpful.
ReplyDeletePolka dots are a new favorite of mine. You look great.
ReplyDeleteAlso, thank you for stopping by my blog. Your comment was so nice. I'm following you now.

Both looks work, in my opinione but i can't choose what i prefer, maybe i'd go for black and white in winter season and red in spring or autumn.
