Wedding dresses of Russian celebrities

There is a picturesque little place in South Russia near the Black Sea Coast where in the late 19th century a royal winery was founded. The place is called Abrau Durso and in June on the territory of the Abrau Durso factory an exhibition of the wedding dresses of Russian celebrities was organised. I want to show you a few of them. As you can see on the photos, not always the traditional white dress is chosen, many brides preferred different colours and unusual designs.

This dress in light lilac colour from designer Zuhair Murad is decorated with thousands of Swarovski crystals


This dress from Topaza Pella is made in Audrey Hepburn style


I like this golden lacy wedding dress very much. The bride was little bit pregnant and the style of the dress was supposed to make it less noticeable. It is decorated with Swarovski crystals and pearls. The dress is made by Russian designer Olga Rusan


Simple and elegant wedding dress from J.Mendel


Finally, a very traditional wedding dress from Anna Lipyavko


Additionally there was an exhibition of modern wedding hair accessories from a young but popular designer Konstantin Gayday

      I too designed my wedding dress. And it was absolutely non-traditional: purple in colour with big white flowers all over it :)

    All those dresses are wonderful and highlighten perfectly the special style of the bride wearing it. My absoute favorite is the Hepburn style dress. I have it bookmarked and will show it to my daughter when she's back from holidays. Not that she planned to get married. But to think about a wedding dress will do no harm.
