"Desi girl" maxi dress

This dress is one of my new purchases after coming back to Nepal. It is by the Indian brand "Global Desi". (Desi is a term for the people, cultures and products of the Indian subcontinent or South Asia. Desi nations include Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and sometimes Afganistan, Iran, Maldives and Nepal. Wikipedia).

That's how the brand describes its auditory: "This is perfect for the urban bohemian who favours easy, contemporary silhouettes in India-inspired prints, earthy hues and handloom fabrics". This is the first thing I have got from this brand. The bright colour and ethnic print details are what caught my attention in the fist place. Then I liked its maxi length. The checkerboard pattern in the design also seemed interesting to me.

It was sold without any belt. If wearing that way then the dress looks like this

Not bad but I prefer the belted variant. Wore the dress for visiting one of my Nepali friends. Her little baby girl has just turned 4 months old. So adorable and cute.

  1. Hello Olga,
I'm very taken by this marvellous dress! You look great in it! I love the pattern mix and the style of the dress. I just checked the website of the brand and think I have to find out whether they are delivering to Germany.
I also prefer the version with the belt.
Have a great day my dear!
