When traveling I prefer to take with me those garments that don't wrinkle easily and that are light and comfy to be in. But shorts-and-t-shirts combinations are out of question for me, tough this seem to be the most lovable outfit choice for most of the tourists around the globe. I prefer something more interesting and more pretty. For wearing in Singapore I chose dresses. The first one that you see on the photo above is a little black dress with some yellow floral print and lovely chiffon sleeves. The building on the background is The National Museum.
Dress - Wallis, wedges - Delamode
Another dress that I took with me was also black with bright floral print all over it and a black chiffon hem panel. I paired it with recently bought Steve Madden floral sandals.
On the background you can see a glimpse of the Marina Bay Sands resort, a 2,561-room hotel including also a mall, a museum, two large theatres, seven "celebrity chef" restaurants, the world's largest atrium casino and a 150-metre infinity swimming pool. Here it is in all its grandeur
But honestly, if I had THAT money I would prefer to stay in this elegantly looking colonial-style Raffles hotel that was established in 1887. Much more to my taste.
Dress - bought in Moscow, sandals and bag - Steve Madden
Another dress...I have never shown it on blog before for the simple reason that I saw it on other blogs quite often some time ago and I hated it. Anyway, I really liked the print of this dress and that was why I bought it. Now, I guess, it is considered outdated and so, less chance that I stumble upon someone wearing it too and so I took it with me. Besides its tropical print really suits for such an exotic place as Singapore
Tropical print dress - H&M, wedges - Delamode, bag - local market in Nepal
And finally the last dress - a chiffon beauty with exotic print from Monsoon
Dress - Monsoon, shoes - Bentley, bag - Steve Madden
And that's what I wore for flights - palazzo pants paired with a t-shirt. I find palazzo pants the most comfortable thing for wearing on planes
Palazzo pants - Next, polka dot t-shirt - Bossini

Lovely selection of dresses, Olga. I'd definitely wear all of them! Especially love the first one with the drapey sleeves. I often think dresses are cooler to wear than shorts & tees and as you say, more interesting and then you're less obvious as a tourist - which is no bad thing sometimes.

You are a living, lovely rainbow of a human being, dear. Always so wonderful to the eye and your style is tops, a definition of beauty to me! Oh and those legs!! Picture 2 completely blew me away, so sexy and exciting!! You made my night incredible with that one, dear, and I really appreciate it :) I agree about the hotel too. That other one is like its own city, I would prefer older and low key.

You often share photos of you wearing maxi skirts or dresses ... you look lovely with short dresses too!!
ReplyDeleteYour tour was very interesting and all the photos are beautiful!
What a great tour of Singapore with fabulous outfits. I love the Wallis dress, I had no idea they still sold such fabulous stuff, it went very frumpy and dull here for ages. xxx
ReplyDeleteI loved all of these dresses....they are all very feminine and they look great on you. I also like the last outfit, with wide pants and polka dots top...very chic. You always look fantastic.
ReplyDeleteYou look very pretty and feminine in all your outfits Olga and I totally agree with you about the tee shirt and shorts thing, it's not for me.
ReplyDeleteI've packed my yellow sandals away now and out come boots and opaque tights as the cold weather rolls in along with shorter days. I don't mind as I like my winter wardrobe.
I wouldn't stay in that Monster hotel either, the colonial one would be more my style too with a nice afternoon tea thrown in haha
Singapore looks fantastic - just look at that hotel, it's enormous!
ReplyDeleteYour holiday outfits are great, bright florals and fabulous prints with cool sandals are perfect for your trip. xxx
