Just in my previous post I complained about having a nice brown skirt and not having much things to pair it with. And today I'm wearing that very skirt with a new garment that I bought literally yesterday. And I like this look much more better because it is much more "me". The embroidered cotton jacket is from the latest Rabari collection from Biba India. The moment I saw it there was no doubt in my mind about having it.
Rabari is an Indian tribe from Kutch region. I wrote about their traditional costume here. They have their own unique style of patched, ragged embroideries that gives them a visual identity. Biba was inspired by Rabari colourful pieces to create her own collection combining traditional embroidery with modern cuts and designs.
Couldn't resist to add my peacock necklace, multi stone ring and a couple of metal bangles to the look. My small embroidered bag went very well with the outfit too.
Ethnic jacket - Biba India, skirt - Monsoon, tank top - Bossini, shoes - Bentley, peacock necklace - Women's Creations (Nepal), ring and bangles - from India, bag - Bentley
Have a nice day!

ReplyDeleteThat ethnic jacket and purse certainly are bright and beautiful and go together so well. Love the scarf too but I am dying over all the pretty hand bling. All the bracelets and that ring are stunning and go with the overall ethnic look soooo well.

ReplyDeleteyou always teach me something new about different types of embroidery. I didn't know that there was an Indian tribe that specilized in this kind, but the jacket that was inspired by their traditional wear is absolutely stunning. Moreover, you styled this jacket perfectly. I really like that skirt as well.
